Come and have fun and gain fantastic hands-on events experience by volunteering at 2017’s EFG London Jazz Festival. Calling all music and events lovers! The EFG London Jazz Festival 2017 is seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers with a taste for organisation to work with us on the delivery of this year’s Festival. We are London’s biggest city-wide music festival and bring together established stars and emerging talent, reflecting the traditions of jazz and illustrating its breadth and depth. You can check out the full programme at efglondonjazzfestival.org.uk ‘Being a volunteer at the EFG London Jazz Festival is a great way to contribute to the event and have fun at the same time. As a volunteer, in whatever role, you feel part of the action instead of a mere spectator. Serious give great briefings and support so you become part of the team straight away. Once you get inside the Festival it never feels the same again’ (Ian, EFG London Jazz Festival 2016 volunteer) Within this time there are opportunities to volunteer in four separate areas of the Festival: Communications – For 1 volunteer to assist the communications team with the Festival information stands, guest lists and press liaison. Must be available on evenings through the Festival. – For 2 volunteers to help with the Festival’s social media output, by taking photos, tweeting and building interest around the events. Development – For 2 volunteers to support the development team in delivering sponsor and supporter receptions and branding across the Festival. Learning and Participation – For 2 or 3 volunteers to assist the Learning and Participation Team in administering and delivering multiple participation projects and events throughout the festival. Including artist liaison, general running and logistics support alongside publicity. Production – To assist the production team with backstage catering and artist liaison, airport meet and greets, general running and logistics support. Timeline: The deadline for applications is Monday 2nd October 2017. Interviews for new volunteers will take place on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th October in the Serious office.
